Hello all,

Iam planning to apply for MBA 2019 intake and I would I highly appreciate your evaluation, feedback and criticism (constructive) here.

Nationality: Indian
Current residence: Germany(PR)
Gender: Female

Education: B.Eng Aeronautical Engineering from Anna Universtity, India (76%)
M.S. Computational Mechanics from Universität Stuttgart, Germany (1.7) --> 1 is highest and 4 lowest

Experience: 4 year as Product Designer / Developement Engineer - R&D at Continental AG (Germany).
Responsible for design and developmenet of automotive products.
Additionally, I have co-lead two R&D process optimization projects to successfully completion, thus creating both hard and soft savings.

GMAT: 610 (1st attempt). Planning to take again!

International exposure: I have worked at different locations (including Bengaluru India, Schaan Liechtenstein, Singapore, Munich Germany) interacting frequently with colleagues, experts and managements worldwide.

Reason for pursuing MBA: I am looking for an opportunity to educate and enhance myself with business knowledge. Working for 4+ years in a global and dynamic setup, I realise there is a growing need for entrepreneurial skillset and knowledge in automotive industry. I believe a right MBA will help me to create more sustainable impact.

I am mainly intersted in MBA programs offered by European B-Schools.
HEC Paris (my GMAT is too low for this Bschool)
Mannheim Business School
WHU otto beisheim school of management
ESMT Berlin
etc...

I would I highly appreicate any feedback on my profile, chance of getting into the above mentioned BSchools, taking second GMAT and further.... Thanks in advance!

Thank you for posting your request here.

You have a unique profile with the international experience and I think HEC Paris would be a school within your range if you can up your score by at least 40-50 points. You can take chances with other schools with the same GMAT if you applying in the first round. You would need a compelling story if you are submitting your application with the current GMAT score.

HEC : Range for GMAT is 620-770 and the acceptance rate is 17%, so we need to submit a strong application.

As you already know, your GMAT is low for HEC, though the rest of your profile is strong. With your experience, and domain specialization, you can also shape your goals well.

I did want to warn you though, your current goals are extremely dilute, and weaken your application.

Other schools that have a mid-80% that includes your score,(in case your score does not go up) can be SDA Bocconi, IE, University College (Dublin) etc. Remember, even for these schools your application is weak, and there is no real substitute for a higher GMAT/ GRE
