Hey Jswat,
Your profile reflects a solid background in engineering and technology, with significant work experience at multinational corporations like Hewlett Packard Enterprise and Samsung. Your experience working with international clients and cross-geographic teams will demonstrate your adaptability and global perspective, both valuable traits for business schools. Your involvement with DEIB initiatives and your NGO participation highlight your commitment to making a positive societal impact, another aspect that can strengthen your profile.
However, your GMAT score of 600 is slightly on the lower end so aim for a 690 or above. You might consider retaking the GMAT to improve your score, aiming for 700 and thereby enhance your chances. In addition, while your work experience is commendable, you need to ensure you present it in a way that shows clear career progression, leadership roles, and significant achievements.
With your current profile, you should consider schools that appreciate work experience and are known for being more holistic in their approach to admissions. In the USA, universities such as the Fox School of Business (Temple University), Rutgers Business School, and the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign might be realistic targets.
In Canada, Ryerson University's Ted Rogers School of Management may be a suitable choice.
Remember that while school selection is crucial, your application's presentation will significantly impact your chances of admission. Articulating your career goals, why you need an MBA, and how the specific program fits into your future plans will be paramount in creating a compelling narrative. Your NGO involvement and DEIB work offer great material for essays, providing opportunities to highlight your values and demonstrate how you will contribute to the school's community.
