Researchers recently found that people who bought passes to individual fitness classes showed up 99 percent of the time, while those bought a package of five passes in advance only showed up 25 percent of the time. One explanation is that the more aware a gym patron is about the cost of a pass, the more likely that patron is to use it.
Which of the following would, if true, best serve as an alternative explanation of the results of the study?
A. The price of each pass was slightly cheaper for those who bought all five passes ahead of time.
B. Many people who visit the gym don't continue to attend regularly for longer than three months.
C. Those who attended all five classes became eligible to win a gift certificate.
D. Most of the time, people who bought an individual pass did so immediately before each class they attended.
E. There is sometimes not enough equipment for people who arrive just before a fitness class begins.

this question is same as a question in OG 2016 instead of gym it was theater i remembered that and even same answer
IMO D
A:- slightly cheaper doesn't make lot of cost difference so eliminate
B:- Out of scope as they will continue or not doesn't matter
C:-Again out of scope this option doesn't show any impact on conclusion
D:- correct as If they purchase immediately before they know how much money they spend just now and this will finally conclude the same.
E:-out of scope.
