What can I do in this position? Is it just no longer possible to apply to schools unless you have your official score report?

If an application deadline is very close, consider reaching out to the school in question to see whether applying with an unofficial score my temporarily suffice. Perhaps they provide some helpful guidance.

All the best with your score
cchandler
Hello,
I took the online GMAT recently and just got an email about my score being held up for review (20 days). Quite strange because it wasn't one of those high scores that apparently tend to get held up for review, and there were no issues during the exam. That timeline is pretty bad with regard to my deadlines... The issue isn't so much that I need to get my score this instant, but based on a lot of posts I had seen I expected to get an unofficial score I could send to the school in the meantime. Apparently they don't do that anymore, and all you get is that quick glimpse of the score at the end of the test.

What can I do in this position? Is it just no longer possible to apply to schools unless you have your official score report?

Also, if your score was held for review (excluding the pandemic years), did it take the full 20 days? I've emailed and called them but they just regurgitate their policies back to me.
