Can I ask which program you are applying to and your age? 16 post grad years is quite a bit. The only fit that I can really think of is London Business School Sloan fellows or the ibear at USC

="KSAHA"]Hello GMAT Club Members,
I am having around 16 years of work experience and I am currently preparing for my GMAT which I intend to appear on or before 15th Feb 2020.
I am targeting to seek admission to a 1-year full-time MBA program. In order to complete my application, I need to develop a resume.
I am reaching out to seek advice and guidance on the below points:
1) Any organizations in India which can help in developing the resume, please do provide some pointers
2) Can I use any portals which can help in developing the resume? Again any pointers/direction will really help
Thanks for your support and help in advance
Regards
K. Saha

Have you considered Executive MBAs? Do you definitely want to go for a full-time 1 year mba program?

I am evaluating executive MBA with full time MBA, however I feel that full time MBA will be more beneficial. Post completion of MBA I want to change my role to consultancy and strategy from Business Development
Do you feel getting into a full time time MBA with so much of experience will be a challenge?

I think your question should be a bit different - whether a full time mba would benefit you or not?

Getting into a program should not be your goal, using the mba to your benefit is!

Also the average age of european b-schools is around 29 years. Would you be comfortable to be in a class with people with 4 years of experience? Would that affect you in anyway?

Then the next question is that you want to do consulting. That is why a lot of people do the mba - to change their career path. BUT you need to land the job. By the time you would graduate, would you be able to convince someone that YOU are the right person for the job and not a younger candidate who can churn out 16 hours a day? Okay this maybe an over-estimation but I am using it to make my point here.

Have you taken your gmat? Have you written your essays. I am guessing you have not yet applied, which means R3 is over for most schools. That means your probability of starting in 2020 is low, probably 2021. You would be graduating in 2022. Take these things in consideration.

Lastly, there is no ideal age, ideal candidate. If you can prove to the admissions comittee that you are the right person, nothing can stop you from getting in!

I wish you all the best, may you have the best year ahead!
