Hi!
I am looking for guidance on how to segment my Consulting experience for my MBA application resume. I have 4 years work experience with a well-known Strategy / Management Consulting firm. I've gotten 2 promotions during this time. This is the only job I've had since undergrad.
Questions:
1) Do I segment my 4 years of experience by client/project, by position (analyst, associate, sr. associate, etc.), or both?
2) If I break it up by client/project, how do I show advancement/promotions, or involvement in any non-client initiatives (sales/marketing content development, mentoring, recruiting, etc.)
3) If I break it up by client/project, is it necessary to explain the situation of the project and what my team was brought in to do?
Most MBAs I talk to with consulting backgrounds say they segment their consulting experience by client engagement, not by position.
Are there any sample resumes/templates out there that can show me how to do this effectively? I am struggling to find a good example of a resume from someone in my situation....
Any suggestions would be appreciated - thanks!!
