Boss.....you are a great warrior. Kudos on your score of 770. How long has it taken to reach there from scratch and how tough do u think it was.
Please enlighten.
Posted from my mobile deviceThanks for the encouragement - I’ll likely post a debrief of my experience at some point within the next couple of days, but I can give a quick summary:
I started out using the Economist GMAT tutor (now owned by Bloomberg), as it is paid for by my employer. I completed around 30% of the course, and realized that the course wasn’t for me. It didn’t fit my learning style, and I didn’t like the lack of flexibility. From that point on, I only used official practice questions and GMATPrep material.
I’m a native speaker, so verbal is relatively easy for me. For RC and CR, I don’t use any specific strategies - I just make sure to read the question / passage very carefully to ensure that I completely understand the material. For SC, I made sure to focus on the most important aspects: parallelism, meaning, modifiers, verb tense, and pronouns.
For quant, I used the TTP equation cheat sheet (a PDF I got from the free trial) and then just did a ton of PQs. I also bought the advanced question pack from MBA dot com.
One of the most important aspects of my prep was my
error log. I kept track of every question that I was unsure of, and I would come back to these problems periodically.
Like I said, I’ll hopefully post a better debrief later, but I hope this is helpful!
