Thanks Rich

I would give a practice test first and then will post in this thread with the results.

Also would you be able to share your thoughts regarding the best source for practice questions ?

Thanks

Hi guptavvek,

When it comes to scoring at a high level, there are a number of factors to consider beyond the practice questions that you use. If you are just interested in the most realistic questions, then the GMAC books (the OG13 or GMAT2015 - since they're the same book, and the subject-specific books for Quant and Verbal) and the downloadable material from www.mba.com are from the Testmaker, so you can't get any more realistic than that.

The problem with studying primarily from books is that doing so does not physically prepare you for what you will face on Test Day. Taking a 4-hour exam on a computer is quite different from doing 4 hours of practice problems in a book. So you also have to consider how the additional resources that you use prepare you for taking the real GMAT. Unfortunately, taking practice CATs is NOT enough training in this regard. As such, you will likely benefit from using computer-based/online resources for a certain part of your studies.

Finally, since the GMAT is a predictable, standardized Test, there are methods, tactics and patterns behind the Test that can help you to score at a much higher level. If you're not learning all of those secrets, and practicing accordingly, then you'll find it harder to hit your goals. So you need materials that match your personality and teach you everything that you need to know.

GMAT assassins aren't born, they're made,
Rich
