Hi Guys,
I need some assistance with my study plan.
I am planning to give GMAT in three months time and have come up with a study plan. This is my second attempt in GMAT.I gave my first GMAT on Nov 2012.My individual scores in Quant and verbal were 43 and 21 respectively.
Following is my strategy :-
1)Start with Maths and Verbal at the same time.I am planning to start both the sections simultaneously.
I have decided to give two days to Quant and one day each to SC,CR and RC on weekdays and on weekends probably brush up the concepts one more time and do some practice questions.
2)After 6 weeks when I am almost done with the topics, planning to take a practice test, just to know where I stand with my preparations.
3)After 8 weeks,I would start with taking practice tests(2 per week) and will work on my weak points till the time I am satisfied with my practice test results.
Following is my section wise strategy for preparation :-
1)Quant
Manhattan GMAT GuideStudy the topics from the book and then practice via GMAT test club or grockit.com
2)SC and RC
Manhattan GMAT guideStudy the topics from the book and then practice through
GMAT club tests or grockit.com
3)CR
Powerscore guideStudy the topics from the book and then practice through
GMAT club tests or grockit.com
I have also bought 13 edition GMAT review and GMAT verbal Review second edition which I will use after completion of all the topics.
I would really appreciate if someone can help me with below queries :-
1)Is starting with Quant and verbal at the same time a good strategy ? I have read in lot of threads to start with Math first and then start with verbal.Would like to know the reason behind this strategy ?
2)For practice which option is good,
GMAT club tests or grockit.com or any other good option ?
3)I am a non-native speaker and my verbal score in my previous attempt was 21.Should i opt for
e-gmat course or self study ?
I am targeting a score of 700 plus.
Thanks
