Hi all,
I am planning to take my GMAT in November.
Even if I have been studying from 7 months, and when will be November I will have studied for 9 months, I think I won't be 100% ready to get the score I want.
Despite that, I think postponing the exam won't be a good idea for many reasons: first of all, after practicing and practicing I do something concrete and then, I can really know what is my real GMAT score (so I will have, at least, a basis from where to restart to study).
These are the main 2 reasons why I want to take the exam anyway.
However, what I would like to know is whether taking the GMAT more than once can compromise your application.
Do Business School take in count your last (or best) GMAT score, or do they evaluate all your GMAT scores?
Of course the best is to get the score I want on the firts attempt, but if I don't, do you think it might compromise my future application?

I doubt it would matter.... I have seen many instances where people have given GMAT more than thrice and have still landed a top 10 bschool... All that really matters is how that score fits in with the rest of you..(Your story - work ex, acads, other activities etc)
So what i would suggest is you still have 2 months left for your target date. If you really want a fair enough idea of where you stand take a GMAT prep test (only take 1) that will give you a rough picture and i suggest you start taking GMAT mock tests from other test providers.. MGMAT has some good ones all these tests will provide you with a feedback of where you stand wrt GMAT and that should help you prepare well for your main exam.
And ya if you asked this question to ease out your nerves , then Retaking GMAT doesnt compromise your application at all.
