Hello Harshachanrai,
Generally, schools take the highest score.
Regarding retaking the test or not, that entirely depends on you.
Your score is good for 5 years, and if the 600 suffices, it suffices.
Best of luck,

I was planning to apply to the Masters in Hospitality at Cornell this year. They told me to get between 6-650, I took it once about ten days ago and achieved 600.
I have now decided to put off doing a masters before working in the hospitality industry and may apply to Cornell if need be at a later stage. I am not sure if I want to pursue a career in Hospitality or Marketing, advertising, events etc and therefore do not know what score I am looking to achieve if later on down the line I want to do a Masters in that field.
I am also worried that if I retake the GMAT and have a bad day and get even less than 600 retaking will do more harm than good.
Do schools take the highest score or the most recent or an average?
As I am not working now and looking for a job Id like to get the GMAT out of the way but Im not sure I need to retake it as I do not know what the future holds for me. What do you think?
Any advice would be beneficial.
