To preface this, I am a very structure driven person. If I am given deadlines and tasks I have no problem doing the work in front of me. However, I have learned I am not so great at self directed study. For most of my study before my first test O was working 50 hrs a week and attempting to study by myself. I found this really challenging and although I was working on my problem areas from my practice exams I still was not feeling confident. I bought
Magoosh when it came on sale for $150 and used it mostly for question explanations and basic skills.
After a few months of study I got a dismal 520, this hurt and I am now getting back on the horse to try again. I think I need to bite the financial bullet and get a GMAT course. This will ease the stress I was feeling the last few months as I did not know exactly what I should do and help keep me motivated. On top of this I am taking a reduced work schedule to allow me more time to study and not be so burnt out.
My question is what course is best? In my research,
target test prep looks promising as well as other courses with a score guarantee.
