Hi agodre,
Since '9th attempts' are granted relatively rarely by GMAC - and your next attempt will be your 8th - there's something to be said for scheduling this 8th Official GMAT for a time when you will feel as 'ready' as possible to face it. If you're not feeling confident right now about how well you might perform, then it would make sense for you to push back that Exam Date.
Before I can offer you any additional advice for your studies, it would help if you could provide a bit more information on how you've been studying and your goals:
1) On what dates did you take each of your Official GMATs and how did you score on EACH (including the Quant and Verbal Scaled Scores for EACH)?
2) How long have you studied in total?
3) What study materials have you used so far? Which practice CATs/mocks have you used?
Goals:
4) What is your overall goal score?
5) When are you planning to apply to Business School?
6) What Schools are you planning to apply to?
GMAT assassins aren't born, they're made,
