Has anyone had a successful appeal regarding taking the GMAT for the 9th time? I have my 8th GMAT attempt coming up next month, and I am debating on moving it for another month just in case this likely becomes my last attempt. The GMAC rules state that if you have a genuine reason they may grant you another attempt; however, I have only seen rejected appeals on this forum. Should I move my exam for another month just to be safe?
Just curious - what are the reasons you have already taken the test seven times? That's quite a large number of attempts.
To answer whether you should really take the last eighth attempt now, you need to first of all understand what happened in those other attempts. Were you unprepared or faced unusual situations?
If you were unprepared all those times, then it makes little sense to schedule another attempt. If it had to do with unusual situations, then you must also know what really happened.
Unless you faced extraordinary situations, the request for ninth attempt will most likely be denied. Therefore, I advise you to think very carefully before scheduling what could potentially be your last attempt. I say, hold off if you can.
Let us know what happened. GL!
