Hi folks,
I took the GMAT yesterday, I got a disappointing 720 (Q48,V41). Disappointing because I got 750+ in each of the GMATPrep tests and most of the Kaplan practice tests.
I aim to apply to the top 5 mba programs, and since those have high avg GMAT scores, I don't want my low score to be a disadvantage (plus I am an Indian engineer, and this pool tends to get high GMAT scores)
I was told that on my second attempt, I should score around 760 for it to matter.
Anyway, I ran out of time in the verbal section, and probably messed up the last 5-6 questions or so. I think the test pressure got to me, or maybe I should have taken that between Quant and Verbal sections.
So for the month or so I'll have before I retake the GMAT, I will take a lot of practice tests. I'm looking at the GMATClub prep tests and
Manhattan GMAT tests now. Your advice on time management on the exam would be appreciated, of course I'll finally choose something that is suited to me.
Finally, do you ever do untimed practice? For example, for practicing really hard quant problems etc. Or is it always only timed practice?
Thanks in advance for your help.
