Hi Guys,
I have scheduled my Exam for the coming September, I think i made a mistake
I initially thought i'll have enough time to prepare and i can focus on my applications post September after the exam, but i don't think this is feasible;
As i don't have adequate time to prepare , due to lot other complications.
I have shortlisted two options as of now,
1. Reschedule for a later date while paying 50$
2. Take the exam in September(i know the score won't be that good) and retake the GMAT test.
a.How much does Retaking the test cost?
b.Will the Uni's take this as a black spot?
Can you please let me know regarding this, your advice is much appreciated.

If you don't think that you're going to have enough time to properly study for the GMAT, then the smart choice is to push back your Test Date. There's certainly no harm in taking the GMAT as scheduled - if you're unhappy with the score result, then you can simply cancel the score (and no one, other than you, will ever have access to that result). The cost to retake the GMAT is still $250.
There are some broader questions about your situation, so it would help if you provided a bit more information about your timeline and goals:
1) How long have you studied?
2) What materials have you used?
3) How have you scored on each of your CATs (including the Quant and Verbal Scaled Scores)?
4) What is your goal score?
5) What is your current Test Date?
6) When are you planning to apply to Business School?

There is no harm in going ahead and taking the test apart from losing $250.
If you think that you will not be able to be fully prepared before the test date, I would recommend you to reschedule the test by paying $50
If you go ahead and take the exam then,
1. You will have to pay $250 for the retest
2. Universities just consider your highest score, so they would not be concerned about your other score.
Moreover, you can always go ahead and cancel the score if you feel you have not achieved a good score.
