Hi Everyone,
I've been following many of you on this forums and reviewed many of the content to prepare me for my GMAT. I recently took the GMAT and got a 560 (Q40, V27) and cancelled my scores. I plan to retake the test in bout 1.5months and hope to seek some direction from this forum to help me achieve a better score in the retest! I've included some background and context below, and would be happy to provide more details regarding my current situation if needed!
Quick background:
26 Male from SEA region
Currently Big4 consultant focused on customer strategy and experience management (~2years work experience)
UK Mid Tier university degree (BBM), 2nd upper class honours
Aiming for 650 GMAT or above I started self-studying for the past 3months since october, and did not have a specific study plan as i just worked through the gmat questions from the
OG. I took 2 official GMAT mock tests and and got 610 and 620 in december and january (both t different timings, at home, and paused the tests on a few occasions), and took the test on 29th January 130pm. During test day, i forgot to bring my identification when i was about to enter the test centre and i had to quickly travel back home and retrieve my identification and head back to the test centre within an hour of grace period which was given (i was a wreck after as i had to drive back and forth my place). I almost missed my GMAT due to this but came back just in time to sit in, after this incident, i was distraught but still gave it my best in my state of mind and completed the test.
Now, i plan to retake the test in end march to supplement my masters' applications (which i have already submitted) and would hope to get some advice on the next steps. I acknowledge that my foundation isnt strong (i can answer the right questions but i have limited knowledge on what GMAT is testing such as idioms and parallelism etc) and i was looking at a few study options
(Offline: Jamboree, Online: TargetTestPrep for quant and eGMAT for verbal) to help bolster my scores in both quant and verbal.
I hope to seek advice for a general strategy that i should undertake and a pick on which study option would be better based on experience. Cheers!
