Hi Rich!

Thanks for getting back to me, let me share a little more regarding my GMAT journey:

1) I studied for 2hours on three weekdays, and 5hours on the weekends (total: 11hrs per week) During my study sessions, I focused on completing OG questions and reviewed them thoroughly after.

2) I took my first CAT on 23rd December and got 610 (Q41 V32) and second CAT on 27th January, getting a 620 (Q41 V34).

3) I have actually applied to 3 schools for their MFin Programs, and would hope to quickly complete my applications by completing my GMAT ASAP.

If there is anything else i could provide context to, do let me know! thanks a bunch for your help

Hi glenaw,

To start, if you're studying just 11 hours a week, then you will have to be really efficient with your study time going forward (especially since it takes a significant amount of time just to take - and properly review - a practice CAT). Based on your various Scores, you have big opportunities to pick up some serious points in BOTH the Quant and Verbal sections - and since you do not have to master both section to earn a 650+, you can choose to put more time and energy into one of the sections. That having been said, many Schools (and especially Finance Programs) view an Applicant's Quant Scaled Score as an indicator of how that Applicant might handle the 'academic side' of the Program - and a Quant Scaled Score in the low-Q40s won't impress anyone. That score implies that you did fairly well on most of the "math" questions that you saw on Test Day, but you made a number of little mistakes throughout the section and you missed out on LOTS of 'strategy-based' points. This is meant to say that by focusing on Quant Tactics, you'll be better able to increase your GMAT Score AND better impress how School Admissions Officers will view your potential to handle their respective Programs.

1) What are the exact deadlines that you are currently facing (you have to be more specific than saying you need to be done ASAP)?

GMAT assassins aren't born, they're made,
