Retired GMAT Prep questions

Hi GMAT Club community I have a question , want to know whether the Retired GMAT Prep questions do overlap with the Latest Software questions . Moreover if I solve those questions will I get Inflated score ? Please reply me with Analysis

Hi.... That's not a term i am really familiar - Retired GMAT Prep questions. Do you have a bit more info?

Many of the GMAT Prep Questions come from earlier OG editions (e.g. OG 10 has a lot of GMAT Prep questions). There are some that got changed about 8 years ago when the new version of GMAT Prep came out. However, there have been no GMAT Prep Question database questions since then. Do what do you mean by retired? GMAT Prep 2nd edition?

If you take that, then yes, that edition has questions used in the current edition as well.

Hi BB thank you so much for your reply. My intended question was over the period of time GMAC has changed Softwares. Some of the questions got retired and few of them got newly added. I am asking about those retired questions. Some folks prepare those question. I just wanted confirm whether doing those questions are safe.

Considering that GMAC reuses question from the oldest Official Guides and from the paper tests.

So, you should not have worries about.

Hi  carcass  Thanks for replying . Which means you are suggesting not to solve GMAT paper test ? Are you sure the Retired GMAC Prep questions do not overlap with the New version of the Software Question pool. Should I send you the File in PM ?

You might use questions from every source GMAT related.

paper tests, old OG's and so forth.

The questions are still valid

I think you should stop messing with unknown files of "miracle" help. It is only an illusion and a fake boost of confidence that won't be there for you on the test. GMAC does reuse questions from older OG's and Paper Tests in the GMAT Prep. About 21 questions from the Paper Tests are found in the GMAT Prep. You can  find them here

Hi LoneSurvivor,

Based on what you're asking, I assume that your concern is that you are looking for practice CATs that will give you a realistic assessment of your current skills (and that seeing questions on a CAT that you already know that answer to would make the results 'inflated' and unrealistic). Those ARE important concerns, but you don't have to restrict yourself to just the 6 Official GMAC CATs. Before I can offer you any advice for your studies, it would help if you could provide a bit more information on how you've been studying and your goals:

Studies:
1) How long have you studied?
2) What study materials have you used so far?
3) Which 'brands' of CATs have you used so far and how have you scored on EACH of your CATs (including the Quant and Verbal Scaled Scores for EACH)?

Goals:
4) What is your goal score?
5) When are you planning to take the GMAT?
6) When are you planning to apply to Business School?
7) What Schools are you planning to apply to?
