Thanks Pehilu. I suspected the tests would be great material. I don't suspect they also come w/ explanations. Although i could always use the forum, itd just be nice to see explanations like the OG.

If someone has them can u mail me them to plz?

Thanks.

I agree w/ u on the SC and CR. In the beginining. i did very terrible w/ these. Which is weird b/c I did pretty well on the OG CR's and decent on the OG SC's

I now miss 2-3 out of a set of 15 for either and in any case was able to elim the answers down to 2-3 choices. I want to try and up that to only 1 incorrect b/c as anyone knows ur verbal must be flawless!!!

RC's are ok practice, but as Ive said b/f, they can be annoying b/c the passages often are missing sentences.

I've said it dozens of times, but it seems nobody wants to pay attention. After the OG and GMATprep, the retired paper tests are the best available GMAT resource. Clearly better than any 3rd party resource. All of the alternative sources I have examined vary from the real thing in question structure and logic. The paper tests are real questions; most importantly they conform to real GMAT logic and question structure. The only thing is that you must be disciplined when you use them, because timing variations can impact your results.

I would absolutely recommend using the retired paper tests before turning to Princeton review, Manhattan or anything like that. In fact, I have actually made this recommendation many times in this space. I'd recommend using the SC1000 and CR1000 only after exhausting paper tests and/or after you are 100% sure about the underlying rules and concepts. The SC1000 and CR1000 are great for volume repetition (and of course they are free), but I would highly advise against using them until you are consistently scoring in the high 40s. They are not useful for learning concepts.

what are these " SC1000 and CR1000" that people keep talking about? Can someone please point me in the right direction? thx
