For MBA aspirants with a study horizon greater than 1 year. Shop around first! MPrep books offer discussion, problems and clear solutions. But, the free videos were not very helpful. These only gave a taste of what the rest of the video instruction might be. VPrepbooks include skill builder, lessons and homework. There is an answer key, but no solutions. Apparently, you must pay to access the solutions on-line. The VPrep 7-day free access in very nice, but only covers the first 3 books. Videos are exactly like the printed lessons. Both companies offer videos on YouTube.
The take away: 1) Buy used MPrep books to learn the lesson and access discussion, problems and solutions. 2) Buy used VPrep books for additional discussion, insight and additional problems. 3) Buy an used
OG for more problems sets. 4) Take advantage of all the free video lessons. 5) Search both GMATclub and Beat the GMAT for free offers. Buy used books on eBay or at thrift stores, etc. Experience how the different prep companies handle and teach similar topics. Then decide which company is worthy of your hard-earned money. Know before you buy! The books are great for off-line study. Save your eyes from screen flicker.
