Hi!

I am taking GMAT in first week of Dec this year and month back I started my preps with Kaplan Premier 2007 and it is a good book to start with...Thou Math Section and Verbal doesnt have much conceptual learnings but the tips to solve questions are quite effective. Lot many questions to work on but just to start the preprations.

I have planned to start with OG 10th edition after this book and then SC, CR and RC 1000. I have ordered OG 11th edition and Kaplan GMAT 800, which I am planning to cover atleast twice before exam.

Rest from Nov, Each week two practice tests. But now problem that I am facing is that I feel the need for strong conceptual base in Quant. So will look for a book especially on Quant basics. Any suggestions? Howz GMAT Math Workbook 5th Edition?

I'm currently using the following books:

Kaplan GRE & GMAT Math Workbook (3rd Edition)
Kaplan Verbal Workbook (2nd Edition)
Princeton Review's Cracking The GMAT (2007 Edition)
Kaplan GMAT Premier Program (2007 Edition)
Official Guide for GMAT Review (11th Edition)
Kaplan GMAT 800 (2006 - 2007 Edition)

The first two are not really important if your skills are not rusty. They give a very good foundation for the GMAT.

Princeton Review is the simply the best when it comes to good techniques but I found the practice questions in the book too easy.

Kaplan Premier program is substantially different from Princeton Review in relation to techniques and difficulty of questions. Although the questions in the Kaplan book are more difficult than in the Princeton Book, the questions are a piece of cake compared to their CATs!

Official Guide is a must have! The only place you'll meet the real deal!

Kaplan GMAT 800 is the book you really need if you're aiming for 700 and above.

Whatever books you get, I recommend you use them in the order listed above. Whatever you do, your main focus should be on the Official Guide!

I have these books so far
OG,
PR (for tips for the exam and good verbal)
Need books which can refresh my math skills and have lots of practice questions.

Which book Kaplan or Arco's is good for practice , I read PR book doesn't have that many practice questions to begin with.
