Hope you all are doing great!


I write this to share my B-school application journey and an appreciation post for Namita Garg (MBA Decoder) who helped me with my applications.


After achieving my target GMAT score in May 2024, I started searching for an admissions consultant who could help me with my Round 1 applications.


After checking a few options, I decided to go with MBA Decoder because I believed that Namita’s vast experience (13+ years) in this field and personalized approach (no junior consultants - she works directly with her clients) would help me craft my essays well.


Namita was more focused on the quality of the essays than the number of iterations and this helped me bring out the best of my essays. The initial profiling form shared by her not only helped me consolidate all of my personal experiences, academics, extracurriculars, and professional achievements in one place but also helped me shortlist the B-schools that would better align with my career goals.


I was genuinely impressed by her commitment—especially when she went the extra mile to refine my optional essay explaining my lower undergraduate grades. She insisted on tailoring and improving it for each school rather than using the same version across all B-school applications. Her commitment to making every essay the best it could be truly stood out.


My discussions with Niranjan provided a fresh perspective on my career goals and provided more clarity on the same. This proved invaluable in crafting essays that effectively connected my past experiences and achievements to my future aspirations.


Their honest and transparent feedback in the mock interviews helped me improve my content and delivery in the final interviews. The resources shared by Namita for interview preparation and general information on B-schools and the MBA journey helped a lot.

I applied to Kellogg, Ross, and Tepper in Round 1 and I got rejected post-interview at Kellogg, waitlisted post-interview at Ross, and accepted at Tepper with 50k$ scholarship. I believe that Namita's attention to detail, transparency, and refined perspective played a significant role in these results.


I am truly grateful to Namita and Niranjan for their unwavering support and patience throughout this journey.
