General Description:
Published in 2005 by Veritas Prep, Project GMAT is a guidebook solely focused on statistics, combinatorics, and probability. At 218 pages in length, the book contains in-depth coverage of these topics along with 101 practice problems and a few additional exercises. As Project GMAT is no longer in publication, the best option to obtain this book is through Amazon. Prices for a used copy have ranged from about $10 USD to over$100 USD.

Pros:
1. Coverage - Project GMAT deals with a specific group of question types. If you need extra help in these areas, then this book can certainly help. Strategies and tips are also quite practical and help in one's approach. At times, though, explanations and discussions feel rushed.
2. Practice Questions - The practice problems are generally geared toward upper-level difficulty. The quality of most questions are quite good, though sometimes they do not feel very "GMAT-like."

Cons:
1. Old Age - This book is somewhat outdated. A lot has changed since 2005.
2. Physical Quality - Although a minor issue, since you can only purchase a used copy, the quality of the book's cover and pages will probably be average. Be prepared for whatever a used copy entails (notes, water damage, etc.).

Overall Assessment:
In 2005, Project GMAT was an excellent resource for those looking for a solid preparation in statistics, combinatorics, and probability. But since its publication, better options have surfaced for test takers. Veritas Prep, for instance, currently offers (1) Statistics and Problem Solving and (2) Combinatorics and Probability. Purchasing this book strictly for question practice is also unwarranted, due to the various question banks now available online.

The book's main weakness, then, is the passing of time. Veritas Prep filled a gap in the industry with Project GMAT, which actually still holds some value for its readers. This company deserves credit for that. Fortunately, test takes now have more up-to-date tools to prepare themselves for these types of math questions.

And here's what bb stated about Project GMAT in his review on Amazon:

This was a great book back in the day (unique as well) but it is out of print. Here are some of the alternatives that are as good:
1. Veritas has just published their classroom books: Combinatorics & Probability Statistics & Problem Solving
2. Manhattan GMAT has a book called Word Translations GMAT Preparation Guide that works very well too for advanced problem solving

Thank you!
I think it may be a helpful/good additional resource for those looking for hard questions.
This book used to be selling for \$100+ a few years ago but after Veritas Prep released the new edition of their books, the price has stabilized to a normal level. Still, there are not many copies floating around.
