Hi ,

I am Kishore, working as a Project Manager , with 13 years of total experience that includes 12 years in IT and 1 year in ITES.
Mostly I have worked in India, except for couple of short stints 7 months in UK, 1 month in Denmark.

I am interested to pursue an MBA from a top institution that will provide opportunities to learn some business finance, transform myself as a business leader.

1. Is my profile suitable for globally top institutions.
2. Do institutions cater to profiles like mine.
3. How practically feasible for students with more experience it is to pursue , as the global MBA does cost a lot.

PLease share with any personal experiences, if any.

Regards
Kishore

Hey there Kishore,
I’d love to help you out but without more info it’s gonna be hard. Where do you work? What do you do? How quickly have you advanced? Do you have any leadership? What are your great achievements? Do you have notable community service or extra curriculars? Which school did you graduate from?

All of these will play important roles in your evaluation.

And feel free to drop us a line for a more full-on Free Consultation: http://bit.ly/mbafcGC

Dear Kishore,
Very good to hear back from you.
Well the first thing to think about is your goals.

Right now, at 37 years old, most Top MBA full-time programs will be out of range, partly because of the age. So the first thing to consider is if EMBA programs fit you and your goals, as you would be the right age with the right experience. Which is to answer your third question - most people who are your age will not be taking off 2 years to pursue a full-time regular MBA but will seek out opportunities that are shorter - such as EMBAs, part-time MBas, perhaps one-year programs.

At the moment I don't think you would be very competitive at say Top 20 programs, but that does not mean that there aren't fantastic programs out there that will fit you perfectly.

I hope I have answered your questions, and feel free to follow up,
Best,
