Conceptual understanding is best checked through solving topic-wise questions. It will provide yo with an insight into strong and weak concepts; thereafter, you can take appropriate action accordingly.

Hi Rishi108,

You ask a rather broad question - and the answer will depend a great deal on your personal strengths and weaknesses as well as your Score Goal. For example, if you already know all of the necessary Geometry formulas, then there's no need to regularly review them. In addition, there's a big performance difference between scoring a 650 and scoring a 750 (meaning that you need to have a much bigger overall skill set to consistently score at that higher level - and reviewing all of the potential rules/formulas/patterns needed to consistently score 750 would almost certainly require more time and repetitions on your part). Using flash-cards and/or a Mistake Tracker/Error Log could be quite beneficial - along with periodically working through sets of practice questions to keep all of your Quant and Vebal skills sharp.

Before I can offer you any additional advice for your studies, it would help if you could provide a bit more information on how you've been studying and your goals:

Studies:
1) How long have you studied? How many hours do you typically study each week?
2) What study materials have you used so far? What “brands” of CATs/mocks have you used?
3) On what dates (or approximate dates) did you take EACH of your CATs/mocks and how did you score on EACH (including the Quant and Verbal Scaled Scores for EACH)?

Goals:
4) What is your overall goal score?
5) When are you planning to take the GMAT?
6) When are you planning to apply to Business School and what Schools are you planning to apply to?

GMAT assassins aren't born, they're made,

One thing that may help would be leveraging your error-log. Perhaps there are certain question types you might like to go through again before your exam.
