Hi gauraku,

If you're truly looking for an expert evaluation of your situation, then you really have to provide all of the relevant information. Based on what you've written in your last post, I have a few follow-up questions:

1) On what dates did you take these two CATs?
2) How long have you been studying for this attempt?
3) What are the exact resources that you've used so far?

With an End-of-May Test Date, you have plenty of time to study and improve. With a 670/Q49, the bulk of the missing points that you're looking for will be found in the Verbal Section. Thankfully, the Verbal Section of the GMAT is as predictable as the Quant section is, so you CAN train to score at a higher level.

1st CAT - 30th November, 2nd CAT - 31st January

2 months

3) What are the exact resources that you've used so far?

E-GMAT - Completed Quant LIVE PREP Course, covering and understanding each and every question.

Hello Rich,

Please find my response in BLUE.

I haven't started with my Verbal yet. I will start after another 1 week and after covering >50% Verbal, I will be regular with Mocks.

I am planning to take GMAT CLUB Quant Tests and E-GMAT Verbal course side by side so that my touch with Quant is maintained and I develop my verbal skills simultaneously.

Hi gauraku,

Since you have so much time until you plan to take the Official GMAT, your plan seems fine. You mentioned in a prior post that you planned to take 1-2 CATs/week at some point. That is NOT a good idea. The process of taking a FULL CAT and properly reviewing it requires a significant amount of effort on your part AND 'recovery time' afterwards. It also takes time to properly focus on your 'weak areas', get in some extra repetitions, etc. As such, there's really no benefit to taking more than 1 CAT/week.

Rich
