Some sociologists believe that religious sects such as the Quaker-based Quiet Ones, who believe the end of the wolrd is imminent and seek to purify their souls by, among other things, abstaining completely from sexual relations, are a product of growing disaffection with modern, industrialized and urbanized living. Its a call between B and E.
The passage doesnot talk anything about religious fervor or intensity. But the conclusion does talk about urbanized and industralized living.
