Rotman September 2011 - Intake

Anyone else applying to Rotman for next fall? I'm polishing my essays now and plan to apply by the end of the week. A little bit of info about myself:

26/M/Canadian
760(49Q/47V/6.0AWA)
3.33 GPA BCOMM (3.55 final two years)
WE: 2.5 years Economic Development

I also intend to apply to Rotman for 2011 fall. A brief background:

GMAT: 640( Q:47, V:32, AWA 5.0)
Acad: B.E GPA 3.2
Work Exp: 3.5 years in technology services for a leading bank
Background: Good global exposure with living abroad and decent extra curriculars

Little apprehensive about my profile because of the low gmat score but still working on the essays and wish to apply.

Although 640 is beneath the 660 average I still think you've got a great shot at Rotman. What are your specific career plans after graduation?

Well since i am currently working for Global transaction services in the technology side I actually intend to pursue my career in Global transaction banking post MBA and offering solutions for corporate customers.

I got an email today for interview on Feb 12th, at their "Admission Super Saturday" event. I'll find out whether I get admitted or not via email on the same day.

I'm surprised that I got an interview. Rotman was a long shot for me, I'm mainly targeting Schulich.

My profile:
- 29/M/Chinese Canadian
- GMAT 640 (Q42, V35)
- GPA 2.3 cumulative, 2.7~ final two years.
- Undergrad @ University of Toronto. Computer Science 4 years with specialization in Software Engineering
- 6 years of work experience post undergrad in finance technology consulting at the same company. Business Analysis for first 4 years, Project Manager for the recent 2 years. Have work with clients in Canada, US, Europe and Asia-Pacific
- Certified in PMP and PRINCE2.
- MBA interest: Strategic Management, Management Consulting, Brand Marketing & Management

I was interviewed by Claire Gumus this morning and received my admission offer by the afternoon. The interview was simple and straight forward, mostly general questions about me from both the professional and personal perspetive. Very relaxed and informative.

Hello fellow Rotman Applicants,

I have completed my application just now and will submit it as soon as my recommenders come through.

Can anyone here tell me if I'm early enough to apply for September 2011 intake? I know the early decision deadline was February 1st so I hope there are still plenty of slots available.
