MBA admissions season is about to start, with round 1 just around the corner. Prepare early; submission deadlines loom. 
This period is significant as it comes before you begin your application process in greater detail, thus improving your profile and increasing your chances of being admitted.
See below for some essential tips during this crucial period:
1. GMAT/GRE
Your top priority will be retaking the GRE or GMAT if your current score does not meet the average score for your target school. Bettering this score can make all the difference in terms of receiving an acceptance letter.
2. Leadership Profile Improvement
Are there any new projects you are involved in or leadership roles that came up at work, in community organizations, or even in volunteer opportunities? Your leadership skills must be demonstrated, so you still have several months to create a permanent impression.
3. Recommenders identification
Begin brainstorming potential recommenders, concentrating on current/former supervisors who may offer strong, detailed endorsements about professional accomplishments and personal qualities that might enhance one’s prospects with Adcoms.
4. Carry on with more in-depth research into the business schools you desire.
Get into the details of programs that attract your interest. Take part in virtual events, contact alumni and uncover little known things about each school’s offerings. Customize your application for each program.
5. Modify Your Resume for MBA
Develop an MBA-specific resume highlighting key achievements, leadership positions held, and skills acquired. It should differ from a regular job-seeking resume by defocusing on attributes important to business school.
6. Consider Your Goals
Clearly define short-term and long-term career goals, focusing on what motivates you and why you are enthusiastic about your chosen path. This clarity will help articulate your vision in essays and interviews.
7. Get ready, get set, and go!
