Is round 3 for UNC similar to round 2 for the schools that only have 3 rounds? Will they have 80-90 percent of their class by the time round 3 rolls around? Thanks

UNC has four rounds of application. Deadline for R3 is Jan 16th and March 13 for R4. If you apply after the march deadline, your application will be considered on a rolling basis.
This is what the website says. So till R3 80 - 90% of the class wont be filled, but After R3, that will be the case.

The USC website says and I quote " Our recommendation is that if you are interested in applying, you apply in the earliest deadline that you are able to. In past years, our experience has been that we have had fewer spots to offer applicants in our 4th deadline, as our class starts to fill at that point"

As decisions are made on a rolling basis, you will stand a much better chance of getting in if you apply early, compared to if you apply in the later deadlines.

Hope this helps.

All the best
