Hey
muniyant,
Well regarding the weight-age of the profile elements, they vary as per the school. Certain schools like German and UK ones have a stronger emphasis on the GPA, while a lot of EU Schools, like those in France and Spain, are relatively more relaxed about the GPA if the overall profile is good.
This being said, if I needed to standardize the weight-age to each of the profile elements on an average, here is how I would put it:
GPA - 10%
GMAT - 25%
Extra-Curriculars ( in which languages are included) - 22.5%
Apart from these, if you have some work ex. (either in the form of internships or jobs), that is taken into account as well, which roughly accounts for 10% weight-age. Finally, your application is super important which is estimated to have about 30% of weight-age.
In case you want to get your profile evaluated across these selection elements, you can take up a free evaluation

The easiest way to calculate your GPA yourself is to use Excel. You can use the example below to make the calculation. In column A you should enter the grades you have earned so far. In column B you need to enter the credits earned for each course. When you have entered all of the grades and credits, you need to put the following formulas into the spreadsheet:
In cell B5 =SUM(B1:B4); In column C =SUM(A1*B1), =SUM(A2*B2) etc; In cell C5 =SUM(C1:C4)/B5 This last answer is your GPA.
(Please note that Grades earned on an exchange will not be included in the GPA calculation.)
In case you are still facing any issue with the GPA calculation, you can get in touch with the school directly and they will calculate it for you.
Hope this helped!
