Running at the same constant rate, 5 identical machines can produce one lot containing a certain number of toys per hour. At this rate, how many toys could 8 machines produce in 1/2 hours?

(1) Five machines can produce 8 lots from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
(2) The five machines working together can produce 3 toys per minute.

(1) From this we can calculate that 5 machines produce 1 lot per hour. This information is already given in question stem.
(2) 3 toys/min. ===> 180 toys per Hour (lot)
8 (machines) * 1/10 (rate per half an hour) * 180 (toys per lot) = 144 toys.

stat 1: same info as given in stem...not suff

stat2: no of toys per hour can be calculated by 5 machines.. and then rate can be calulated,,suff
