In general I'd suggest

Work experience
Education
Extracurriculars

If one includes all this AND internships is the resume still expected to fit one page only?
I find it pretty hard to fit everything in one page.
Also when the specific projects in the work ex are described, what sort of depth is required.

I did not include any internships during undergrads. just included my work experience post college.

thanks guys..im about 80% done with my resume and am doing some tweaks. I did not add my internship because there is no way for me to fit this info into 1 page. i've listed the following:

Work Exp
- 2 diff companies with a lil summary of the job description. then after that bullet pts with key accomplishments

Community service
- 2 diff volunteer groups listed

education
- with pres. of fraternity listed

i'm debating if i switch education and comm service. not sure which one should be listed before the other

Just my 2 cents: edit! edit! edit! and then edit some more. My resume went from 3 initial pages (I'll call it my "brainstorming resume) to 1 page by:

1st) Editing out (or merging from two or three into one) several bullets.
2nd) Trimming parts of sentences / bullets.
3rd) Making the name / address / phone section only 1 line long in the header.
4th) Asking the question "is it absolutely necessary" to each word I had left by then.
5th) Changing Font to Arial Narrow (but keeping the 10 pt size as it was required) and making sure I had used no more than the minimum required margins.

I took ages to get it done. In particular the last 10 - 20% of editing were the toughest.

Hope it helps.
