SAT score on resume?

Question

Is this acceptable if my SAT score was 1510/1600? I am 25 years old, and the reason I ask is my undergrad GPA was low. Also several job interviews I've been on have specifically asked for it enough times that I decided to put it on my resume for the past few years.

No...its outdate and means nothing at your age. If you take the GMAT and get a killer score put that one when you apply to jobs when you are in school but not before or after.

General rule for most companies around test scores is that if they care - they'll ask. A 1510 SAT probably isn't much of a differentiator amongst the b-school crowd anyway (especially at the top programs).

There is some debate about GMAT scores (typically tending not to put it on there unless its 770+ range and you are willing to put on your undergrad GPA and current school GPA). Again - even with a score like 740-760, its not that big of a differentiator - and if a company uses it as screening criteria, they'll ask for it.

When you are in college looking for an internship or job after college, a 1510 should go on your resume. I mentor undergrad students at my alma, and I tell them to do that.

It's similiar to putting a 700+ on your resume when you are b-school, which is something a lot of career centers tell students to do. A lot of recruiters look for the 700+ on resumes.

In b-school, I have only seen one SAT score on a resume, and it was a 1600.
