I have spend good amount of time on SC - still not reaching there where I should be.............. Please provide explanation

A) "within reach for" is grammatically incorrect. "within reach of" is grammatically correct.
B) "because of" is incorrect here. Should be "because erosion..." Plus, "and putting gold.." is incorrect. "and" here is not the right 'connector'.
C) "within reach for" is grammatically incorrect. "within reach of" is grammatically correct.
D) having the ", putting gold literally" is incorrect.
E) the only choice left. Without any of the mistakes spotted in the other four choices.
