Hey all
I couldnt figure out the answer for this one!
Last August, while cleaning the field, a mine exploded.
a. Last August, while cleaning the field, a mine exploded.
b. While clearing the field, a mine exploded last August.
c. Last August, a mine exploded while clearing the field.
d. A mine exploded last August while the field was being cleared.
e. A mine was exploded by clearing the field last August

I would say D.
A,B, and C imply that the mine was clearing the field when it exploded. E implies that the field was cleared specifically for the purpose of clearing the mine.
