That's not true. Intake means eating. It doesn't have to be plural. Benefits from intake is similar to saying, for example, disadvantages of growth. You don't say growths. It's plural benefits from a singular action and it's grammatically correct.

left with B,C and E

Identification marker 2 ? == compare difference the answer choice left which are ( are vs. is ) and different forms of further

"are" is the applicable noun so choose B ( you can discard by reducing options on the basis of "further" also)
