good question. i think sc`s are easy to medium, cr`s are medium and rc`s are medium. what do you think of it ? especially the math section ? i was a lil depressed b/c i scored only 660.

i tried "upstart" as well and think its really bad, especially the verbal section.

hey same here...I got 610-690 range

I took 4 cats
Cat1 (640-660) q 45-48 verbal 44-46
cat2 610-630 q 44-47 verbal 37-41
cat3 660-690 q46-48 verbal 45-47
cat4 630-650 q 46-48 verbal 33-35 <--i think it was lower cause a fire alarm went of in my building during the verbal part...sucks...

though I feel the RC are easy...CR seem whack...SC well some are good.

quant i just think way too much geometery....its like every other question is about some figure...

I think quant is OK, verbal is OK...too but I think the scoring isnt par...

Fresinha,
Are these scores of Cambridge CAT?
Also, glad to hear that upstart raising aint that good! I was thinking of buying them coz ive heard quite a lot about them.
Chris, could you do a quick review for us? Thanks!

As for the answer, I choose C too for the use of past perfect!

Late, but C for the past perfect construction.

Christof> Why do you think the Upstart simulators are bad? I actually think they are accurate for 550-650 range scorers.

first of all i think that the scoring is not comparable to the ETS-Software. i dont know how the software calculates the scores but i dont think thats its adaptive. the quant part is ok but i saw two questions that were wrong and one were ambiguous. i was a lil angry b/c i couldnt find the answer during the exam and finally i found that its just wrong. i think that the questions in the real gmat are much wordier than in upstart (thats why i like cambridge b/c it gives u long passages which train your concentration). the verbal part seem to be very different from ETS. the structure of the questions is not like that of the ETS-questions. in most cases the ETS-questions ask for a specific concept but the questions from upstart seem to have no concept at all. finally i was very irritated b/c i scored 590, 600 and 640 which is out of my usual range. personally i see the CAT`s in the following ranking:

1. gmatprep
2. pp
3. kaplan
4. gmatchallenge (b/c no verbal...)
5. cambridge
6. pr
7. upstart

i think peterson is the same as cambridge, but i am not sure. from what i`ve heard 2. and 3. are useless. the books of MGMAT are ok but only supplemental. the problem archives of MGMAT is too hard. before you concentrate on such hard math questions you should improve your verbal skills unless they are already very good. IMO the tests i mentioned above as well as a frequent participation in the forum is enough...
