Answer is B).

Jeans can jump like pearls....(it is metaphoric comparison, "As" is used on if it actually function as).

Thanks for explanation, I was not aware about it. In original sentence, there is comma after jump. Does that play any role?

Moreover, If sentence were constructed as follows: ......."jump", as pearls do. Would it be considered correct?
