Hello to All,
I have recently joined the forum and let me begin with this question
Unlike most warbler species, the male and female
blue-winged warbler are very difficult to tell apart.
(A) Unlike most warbler species, the male and
female blue-winged warbler are very difficult
to tell apart.
(B) Unlike most warbler species, the gender of the
blue-winged warbler is very difficult to
distinguish.
(C) Unlike those in most warbler species, the male
and female blue-winged warblers are very
difficult to distinguish.
(D) It is very difficult, unlike in most warbler species,
to tell the male and female blue-winged warbler
apart.
(E) Blue-winged warblers are unlike most species of
warbler in that it is very difficult to tell the
male and female apart.
This one is from GMAT Plus. I think B is correct. Do the rest feel the same?

I believe D is best
B wrongly compares "most warbler species" to "the gender of the
blue-winged warbler"
A) wrongly compares "the male and female blue-winged warbler" to other warbler species
C) makes the correct comparison but I don't like "distinguish". It seems like the warblers are hard to spot, "distinguish".
E) "in that it is" seems very wordy compared to D's more concise form

A compares species to warbler
B compares species to gender
C looks fine
D seems awkard
" It is very difficult" seems too far from the phrase it modifies. Also "those" is missing.
E compares warblers to species
what is the Off Ans ?
