EDIT : On second thoughts, D is better... i didnt read E properly...its got a big mistake..i missed the "so" part...D is best..sorry about that guys.
i am a bit surprised by the use of "may" in D... i guess i need to study more about this.


Only D and E are possible..
as great as.. is correct usage..
at least as great as ...

can ... is used to express possibility
may....is used for permission to do something

Like you guys I think D would be the most suited answer. However, the answer provided byu Vstudy is B.

So.. I started to wonder if there are some cases where the second "AS" could be omitted when using "AS GREAT OR GRATER...THAN"


Any thoughts?

Atleast as great or greater than is redundant..

Atleast means that it can be greater than..

does it make sense?

i have issues with D, but it really seems to be the only OK answer

Never have I seen on my many tests such constructions as AS GREAT AS OR GREATER THAN and AT LEAST AS GREAT.

It cannot be B. B has a redundancy. "at least" implies "as great as or greater than"

I think every other answer besides B and E use "may" which is redundant when you're talking about chance.
