Hey !!
Yes, definitely there are scholarships available to MBA students in most of the schools.
If you are specifically interested in scholarships, each school would have different scholarships available.
For example Kelley (Indiana) has schols for more than 50% students, UNC (kenan-flagler) has schols for over 30% students and Ross(Michigan) also has lot of schols available. Whereas in some schools its hard to quantify. Some schools like UCLA and others also offer teaching assistantships during your 2nd year of MBA to support your education.
Schools would not reveal the process of decision making but the details of schols are all available on the websites of the schools. Some schools have schols based on country, background or GMAT or experience. But you need to check that individually.
The Process :
The process schools usually follow is that you are automatically considered for schols when you apply.
Sometimes they put cut-off times, like for schol consideration apply before Round 2 or something like that.
Also, some schools might have an essay or extra question to explain reasons for need based scholarhips.
Then they consider your application and provide the results accordingly.
Hope this helps !
Let me know if you have more questions.
Cheers !
