What you say does make sense. Basic idea :
- Do the best job on your application (which includes showing your enthusiasm and the clubs that you will be involved in)
- Dont hold your breath for a scholarship if you wouldn't qualify for the 'much needed' category.

The much-needed category? No, I don't think so. I've got an Indian IT friend here at Duke who got a scholarship. They give money to people who are just plain good, too.

It's probably like admissions: if you're plain good, that's good. If you're plain good and some kind of original, that's even better.

Seriously, just do your best on the application. Don't even think about the scholarships right now.

how you been baby? Long time no talk.

no ****! unlike some people, i'm busy. and not busy in a jetting-off-to-the-bahamas kind of way. Busy in a got cases up the wazoo sort of way.

Life's good though.

I start school in a week.... I will be joining you in the holy matrimony of case hell soon enough. I've missed you on this board...

I'm around some, but too busy to spend much time reading posts. In fact, I miss you too! I should be writing a paper right now. Ooh, Rupert Murdoch, you bad bad boy!

Ha! Grinning from ear-to-ear, reading this thread. Nice stress reliever. Oh, and so's all the info about scholarships and stuff. Never occurred to me that grad schools might hand those out. No expectations, here, but good to know.

I think it has been replaced by this thread:

103-t53748

if people update it with their scholarship info and admit info, then it covers everything this thread was meant to cover (without all the "love chatter" between rhyme and Aau :P)

You can find some good scholarship info at the Admit/Ding compiliations... River and I might have to update some people's profiles (when we have time) for them...

Kryzak, I just think you're missing the big picture. You clearly don't understand what really matters.

I'm afraid your (our) odds aren't very good...I estimate the M/F ratio at GMATClub to be approximately 95:5...any thoughts?

this isn't completely scientific (or at all), but it seems like there are more women here than there were last year.
