A significant number of scholarships are on offer to applicants during admission to the Full-time MBA 2014 intake. Merit-Based Scholarships and Anastasia & Ioannis Kavvathas Goldman Sachs Scholarships are available to our applicants to encourage their MBA studies and facilitate their transition to future business leaders.
Candidates who make their applications in the first and second rounds have priority in the awarding of these scholarships.
Anastasia & Ioannis Kavvathas Goldman Sachs Scholarships* Three of these scholarships, each worth HK$ 100,000, are offered to candidates from the European Union. One award is designated for a candidate from Greece.

HKU MBA - Merit Based Scholarships The Merit-Based Scholarships are granted to a number of full-time MBA students each year on distinctions displayed in, for example, admission interview performance, career background, GMAT score or academic qualification.
Criteria for Success Most importantly, what are the attributes we are looking for in a successful scholarship candidate? The awardees should demonstrate one or more of the following qualities:
exceptional academic background, GMAT score and other professional qualifications
outstanding career exposure and leadership qualities
distinctive profile in terms of language abilities, work experience or skill-sets which enhances the diversity of the class
contribution towards social enterprise and society
having ventured in their own enterprise(s) and shown potential to become a successful entrepreneur
There is no need for a separate application for scholarships. All admitted candidates are automatically considered for them.
