Schulich School of Business and other CDN Schools

Question

Hi,

I noticed in the latest financial times that Schulich (York) school of business in Toronto went from 18th (2006 rank, and it has been consistent for a few years at this rank) to 40something (2007 rank). Does anyone know why this happened? Does it matter? Will the school bounce back? and how can they rank 2007 if 2007 is not complete yet...

Also, just wanted to get a mutual perception on which school in canada is the best... i think my own ranking is:

1. Ivey (western)
2. Schulich (york)
3. Rotman (Toronto)
4. Queens../McGill?

Sauder-it has dipped in rankings in the past few years but it is ranked higher than queen's always and higher than mcgill this year. 
Queen is overrated bcos of its city placements. i am considering cnadian schools myself. So i think 
1.ivey
2. Rotman
3. schulich
4. sauder
5/ Mcgill
6. Queens

Yeah so far I heard from schulich and got in, waiting on ivey and rotman.. but if i do get into all of them, I am not sure which of the 3 I would pick....

at a dilemma..

im very curious why schulich was 18th in 2006 and dropped so much in 2007 bi-annual, financial times survey

Hey got into all 3, not sure which one to take.

Rotman - highest rank, solid overall program, good vision, good dean

Ivey - unique study methods, reputation (amazing).


Any ideas?

The feeling I get is that Rotman is on the upswing with the new dean. If you are going finance definitely take Rotman. 

Ivey has a slightly better reputation in Canada and internationally based on history but the transition to the 1 year program adds some uncertainty. Ivey might be a little better for consulting jobs.

I am trying to get into Yorkand i am an international studentbut right now I am in a bit of a mess my GPA is poor and I do not have enough money for York. 
I really,really want to go to York.I am studing very hard to get 700+.i would like some and information advice on application and financial aid to schulich school of business so i can suceed in this endeavour.Thnx.

from what ive heard, rotmans is the best quantitative mba school and ivey is the best qualitative.
