what can be the answer to this
because i arrived at C as the correct answer because the given statement says "the general fear that grips the people when they see a snake" which can be countered by the fact that most common people do not know the difference between a venomous and a non venomous snake
Hello, 01010011, or shall I call you Mr. or Mrs. Binary? I also arrived at (C) as the most reasonable answer, even if you never know the direction in which these third-party questions may go. The only other option worth considering is (B), but to counter the conclusion that the general fear that grips most people at the sudden sight of a snake is totally uncalled for, we want to find a reason that people should fear snakes whenever a snake suddenly appears. If common people, whom I take to be non-scientists, cannot readily tell venomous and non-venomous snakes apart, then their fear at seeing a snake would seem well founded—they would not know if a bite from any given snake could prove fatal. Answer choice (B) does tie into the threat that venomous snakes pose. However, it does not address the statement the scientists make that nearly ninety nine percent of the varieties of snakes are non-poisonous.

We will have to wait and see what the OA is revealed to be. For now, I thought you could take some comfort in knowing that at least one Expert supports your view.
