Hi,
I had given offical gmat prep mock test and i have one query related to the score given on verbal section.I got a total of 27 questions correct out of 41,but still the result window shows a 36percentie and a score of 25.
Can it be possible or there was some issue with the test?
P.s: The wrong answers were not alternate.

There are a lot of factors that are involved in the scaled score you receive. While a 25 looks an unlikely score for 14 wrong questions, still it is a high number of incorrect questions.
1. How many questions were incorrect in the first 10?
2. Did you complete the test?
You might/might not be doing some of the things, but I would recommend you to take care of the following things in your preparation:
1. Understand the concepts and fundamentals before jumping into problem solving
2. Solve full length CATs including AWA and IR. You can get two free GMAT Prep mock CATs and can purchase two more from mba.com
3. Make sure you solve the official questions from the Official Guide
4. Make sure you follow a preparatory course. It may be a book, online course or tutoring. But make sure that you go through the concepts first
5. Make an error log and record all the incorrect answers. Post that, note down any new thing that you learnt from the question.

The test tries to hit about 60% correct for all test takers regardless of ability. Remember it's an adaptive test so it operates entirely differently from typical tests. The test will adjust the mix of questions to get to a point where you can answer about 60% correct. There is little correlation between your percentile accuracy across the entire test and your overall score. You score is a function your performance related to the difficult of the questions you "earn".
Percentiles, however, can be instructive of determining how to improve your performance. The key is to determine your relative performance by content area. Let's say you analyze this last test and determine your performance on a percentage basis was significantly lower on RC. That is a good indication that RC is an area where you should spend more time to improve. (Caveat: your lower percentage may be a function of a harder mix of questions, something that is difficult to determine on a GMAT Prep exam)
