Hi, and thanks for writing! I would report the highest score of 740, but mention in the optional essay that on the previous exam, you'd received a 48Q (noting the date of the exam). I believe both exams will also be on your official score report as long as you didn't cancel either. Hope that helps!

Despite the username, my goal score has always been a 740.

On Saturday, I took the GMAT in person, and scored a 730 (Q48 V42). It killed me to fall 10 points short of my goal score, so I decided to take the online GMAT (having never prepped for it) the next day. The score for Sunday was a 740, but with lower quant (45) and higher verbal (47).

Which score would schools prefer? Can I report both?

Background - Looking at Stern, Columbia. Major: History Minors: Economics, Cinematic Arts GPA: 3.51 (Cum laude)
