I plan to retake the GMAT around Jan 25 but the school I am applying to has a deadline of Feb 1. I have a previous GMAT score which I have already submitted to the university. So if I take on Jan 25 how many days will it take the scores to reach the school. Is it 15days with AWA? Additionally, if I submit a photocopy of the result they hand out to you as soon as your exam is done, will the school accept that and evaluate my profile till my official score reaches them?

You will indicate your GMAT scores on your application, and that's what the schools will use. They will verify it against an official report later on.
It is acceptable for most schools to submit just "self-reported scores and for the official score report (with AWA grade) to come in later on.
So, you are OK.

Note that I said most schools (HBS for example), check with yours just in case.
