How have your practice accuracies and streaks been?
Easy 10 out 10 for all Q&V sections, Medium 7-8 out of 10 multiple times averaging, Hard 3-4 maximum out of 10.

Also, how have you scored on recent practice tests?
I want to be honest here, I did not have the time to sit for full-length practice tests over the past 3-4 weeks, because of job and then on weekends, the time went mostly to do streaks. So the scores which I had were

My way of approaching the material could be a major issue, I might feel scared because of tough questions, and maybe an issue of mindset.

I have plan A of applying to MiM this year anyhow I have had plan B (trying work experience instead of applying and studying simultaneously) many times for the past 3 years, after multiple rejections from BSchools, and sometimes even tried the test-optional pathway, didn't work out.

Hi tejashendre,

After such a long study timeframe and so many study hours invested, I'm sorry to hear that Test Day didn't go as well as planned. From what you describe, there are likely a variety of different factors that are keeping you from scoring higher right now. Before we discuss any of those potential issues though, I'd like to know a bit more about your overall timeline and goals:

1) Over the last 15 months, have you taken any other CATs/mocks besides the 6 that you listed?
2) Were there any significant stretches of time in which you were not studying at all?
3) You mentioned that you have applied to (and been rejected from) a group of Business Schools. Which Schools did you apply to and when did you apply?
4) Is the INSEAD MiM Program your first-choice Program or are you more interested in some other Program?
5) Have you worked with (or even discussed) your profile and plans with an Admissions Expert?

In the TTP platform be it full length sectional tests of 31 Quant I did not feel stressed and was very much confident, skipping difficult and tricky questions.

On verbal in gmatclub using forum quiz or only practice questions I could be sure I could hit 75-80% accuracy. No stress here too.

But in thr practice 2 hour examme official I turned blank and this takes me nosediving into making incorrect questions in a row in the tests taking my score a big hit.

Personally I can gauge myself been a 690-710 scoring person.

1) Over the last 15 months, have you taken any other CATs/mocks besides the 6 that you listed?
No full length exams of both Quant and verbal together apart from the 6 mentioned.
Many times using TTP gmatclub, individual sectionals with 75% accuracy on both Quant and verbal. IR no studying.

2) Were there any significant stretches of time in which you were not studying at all?
No breaks because it could have set me back with the reinvesting to try relearning and revising for 1 2 weeks. So I invested any how on poor performance days atleast 2 hours, trying to solve CR,SC or PS DS. I have full details of study time in the app of pomodoro the time invested per day.

3) You mentioned that you have applied to (and been rejected from) a group of Business Schools. Which Schools did you apply to and when did you apply?
In 2020, I targeted schools UK tire 2 based on Ielts and I got admitted to all. Did not go because I wanted a college accepting students on gmat or gmat optional. Then in 2021-22 cycle only applied to Imperial College London test optional in a specific program and Cornell SC Johnson MPS Management (test optional), Georgetown University UK, related to pre, 1-2 experience masters. Got rejected.

4) Is the INSEAD MiM Program your first-choice Program or are you more interested in some other Program?
Yes this year I have only focused on INSEAD and no other school and I am totally ready with the application, LOR, Essays, internships, work experience. I have been in touch with a Admission team Member discussing my journey. I have been preparing the application for last 5 months.

5) Have you worked with (or even discussed) your profile and plans with an Admissions Expert?
Yes I have discussed my profile with a admission consultant with whom I am working with and with the member of INSEAD recruitment team. Not posted my profile on gmatclub ask consultants forum. RICH you can visit my LinkedIn mentioned below in the signature.

Easy 10 out 10 for all Q&V sections, Medium 7-8 out of 10 multiple times averaging, Hard 3-4 maximum out of 10.

Your medium and hard accuracies aren't high enough yet.

For Quant topics, you need to be consistently achieving accuracies of at least 80% in medium and 60% in hard questions.

For Verbal topics, you need to be consistently achieving accuracies of at least 80% in medium and 70% in hard questions, and for Verbal, 90% in medium makes more sense.

Your move is to take practice tests regularly so that you become better at handling the overall test experience and perform better on test day.

From today I will only be sitting to practice only full length practice tests, quant gmatclub tests and verbal forum quiz 36 questions on forum quiz

Difficulty medium and hard.

Is this a good way to practice from now on?

Consider purchasing/doing Official Mocks 3-6. Fair to say those mocks best represent what you'll see on an actual exam. Saving 1 or 2 mocks just in case of another retake may be good choice.

Probably, you should also review and do individual practice questions to strengthen your skills in topics that you need to work on, as indicated by your practice test results.

Hi tejashendre,

If an Admissions Expert has advised that you will probably need to score in the 700s to earn an invite to your first-choice Program, then I think that it would be best to heed that advice - but you will almost certainly need more than another 15 days of study before you will be able to do so. I've sent you a PM with some additional notes.
