Probably could mean something for international applicants who score a 4.5 (25%) or lower.

I always like to see 80%+ in all categories so 6 or 5.5 makes the cut...but that's only for my own ego.

the AWA cant help you, it can only hurt you.

so if you have a low score it might be looked into. A good score wont raise any alarm bells.

I got a 6.0 as well.

Come on people, give the guy some props. Regardless of how adcoms look at it, having scored a 6.0 on AWA is still impressive. I mean think about it, it means, 9 out of 10 people who took the GMAT scored worse than you on the AWA.

9/10 scored worse? True.

Impressive? Not really

How many of the 9 actually tried to get a 6.0? Not the efficient test takers.
